22nd month (April 2006)
Well, we are in the last three months before our 2 year anniversary of this project!
Finishing the old W.C. area. | Finished under the old W.C. |
Bending and fitting the ceiling panels. We need to finish the rear frame before we can glue the panels. |
Finished the roof repair |
The polystyrene arrived. | We started using 600ml Sikaflex sausages |
The queen bed mock-up |
and the kid's bunk beds |
We tried several stairs |
This did not work out. |
Before... |
After... Now all the bin area is repaired. |
23rd month (May 2006)
In this month we should be working on the front frame!
That was the plan... But we are still waiting for the roller to bend our hollow section (frame)
We fitted the front door |
and welded the hinges in-place |
The door and hinges are from the front |
Door closed. |
We made the frame for the stairs | and Sikaflexed the panel/wall |
The stair steps are made |

With the stairs done, we concentrate on the floor. Starting at the rear. |
We made a hat section (pan). It is 40mm deep which will be filled with polystyrene. |
The area is completely sealed (Sikaflex). |
And the insulation cut to size and fitted. The insulation around the engine is the ceramic blanket that also went into the engine box. |
24th month (June 2006)
At the end of this month will be our 2 year anniversary.
This month we glued the floor boards down, completed the rear frame, and started on the front frame.
We laid the insulation | and then glued the floor boards. |
The roller |
and the rolled |
We finished the rear frame! :-) |
Looking from the front. |
We turned the motorhome around |
and started working on the front frame |
